Terms of the pilot

Last updated October 2026. Pilot terms; a full agreement will replace this before general availability.

1. What this is

The Community Hub is a marketplace that connects neighbors inside a defined boundary so they can hire each other for everyday help at fixed, time-based prices. The platform and the hub host facilitate introductions, scheduling, payment and dispute resolution. They do not employ providers and do not supervise work.

2. Eligibility and endorsing

You must be 18 or older and live inside the hub boundary. Membership activates after two active members (or the hub host) endorse that they know you in real life and the one-time sign-up fee is paid. Endorse answers are shown on your public profile. No background checks are performed in the pilot.

3. Prices, fees and payment

Prices are fixed per 30-minute block and shown before you book. A card processing fee is shown as a separate line item. Your card is authorized when you accept a provider and charged when you confirm completion or 24 hours after the provider marks the job complete. The hub host receives a share of each job; providers and the host are paid weekly. There are no cancellation fees in the pilot; cancellations and no-shows are counted on profiles.

4. Disputes

You may open a dispute within 48 hours of a job being marked complete. The hub host rules full, partial or no refund. Either party may appeal to the platform owner, whose decision is final.

5. Liability disclaimer

Services are arranged directly between members. The platform, its owner and the hub host are not parties to any service agreement and are not liable for property damage, personal injury, loss, or any other harm arising from services. Members and providers are responsible for their own insurance. The pilot does not include an insurance product. Use the service at your own risk.

6. Privacy

Other members see your first and last name, photo, bio, endorsements and reviews. Your address is shown only to a provider you have booked. Your email and phone are never shown to other members; a business sees them only after you send it an intro request and it accepts the lead.

7. Conduct

The hub host may warn or suspend members for conduct that harms the community. The owner may remove members permanently.
